Kalamazoo SCRABBLE® Fest, 2012

It's time to H*A*V*E* some F*U*N and promote L*I*T*E*R*A*C*Y!

WHAT:

The Kalamazoo Literacy Council is hosting the 2nd Annual Kalamazoo SCRABBLE® Fest on April 14, 2012, at Portage Northern High School to benefit adult literacy. The event will raise awareness of adult literacy as well as help raise funds to strengthen and expand adult literacy services for low-level adult readers.

WHEN:

Saturday, April 14th, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Players must register by April 2, 2012.

WHO:

Players 16 and up interested in playing for the benefit of adult literacy. All proceeds benefit the adult literacy programs of the Kalamazoo Literacy Council. All levels of players are welcome. When you register, indicate if you are Competitive, or Just For Fun.

WHERE:

The event will be held at Portage Northern High School, 1000 Idaho Ave., Portage, MI

MORE INFORMATION:

It is $25 per person to enter, which includes an event t-shirt if you pre-register by April 2nd. All participants must follow official SCRABBLE® rules displayed at each table. Tournament play will consist of three 1-hour games. Players have three minutes per turn to complete their play.
