Everyone Needs to Read Annual Campaign 2012

On March 30th, we launched our first ever annual campaign to support adult readers in Kalamazoo county. We are asking the community to help provide quality literacy education to adults in the county, and to empower them to reach their full potential by supporting the Everyone Needs to Read Annual Campaign. Please do your part to help us end their struggle with illiteracy.

2nd Annual Kalamazoo SCRABBLE® Fest a Success

Our 2nd annual Kalamazoo SCRABBLE® Fest was a rousing success, raising almost $4,000 to strengthen and expand adult literacy services for low-level adult readers.

Thirty-eight players brought their skills to the tables, with 14 competitive and 24 just-for-fun players

Kalamazoo Literacy Council is hosting the 2nd Annual Kalamazoo SCRABBLE® Fest on April 14, 2012, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Portage Northern High School. The event will raise awareness of adult literacy as well as help raise funds to strengthen and expand adult literacy services for low-level adult readers.

The Kalamazoo Literacy Council hosted the 1st Annual Kalamazoo SCRABBLE® Fest on April 16, 2011, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Portage Northern High School.
