Read and Seed Family Literacy Day

July 27, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Introducing the Read and Seed Interpretive Learning Center! Join us for an exciting day of fun as we unveil our outdoor classroom and community garden. We have lots of engaging activities planned including family-friendly literacy projects, health and nutrition demonstrations, and visits to the Adult Education and Training Wing at Goodwill, which features the new Childcare Center.
This free event is designed to promote multi-generational learning and encourages families to get hands-on experience in health and parent literacy activities that help them learn together. Program partners, KLC volunteers, adult learners, and families from the Edison neighborhood are invited to attend.
Contact Lauren at (269) 348-0480 or lkiesling@kalamazooliteracy.org with questions or to RSVP.
The Read and Seed Community Garden and Interpretive Learning Center and the Parent Literacy Together Program are supported in part by Shared Prosperity Kalamazoo, Harold and Grace Upjohn Foundation, Marvin and Rosalie Okun Foundation, Kalamazoo Community Foundation, and the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation. Program partners include The Kalamazoo Promise, Talking is Teaching, Kalamazoo County Great Start Collaborative, Kalamazoo Public Library, and the WMU McGinnis Reading Center and Clinic.
